Who is Fiore?

Fiore is an alien, the last of his kind. He wanders around the universe alone as a child, until he discovers earth. There outside a hospital he finds Mamoru Chiba, who's parents had just died in a car accident. The pair became inseparable friends...in which Mamoru gave Fiore a red rose as a token of their bond together. But as a foreign life form, Fiore could not stay on earth...as he would not survive. So he left with a promise...a promise that some day he would return to Mamoru with a beautiful flower as a gift for him. Fiore searches for years and years, until he finds the most perfectly beautiful flower to present to Mamoru. But when he returns to earth...a now adult Mamoru had forgotten about Fiore. Blinded by sorrow and jealousy Fiore attempts to kill Mamoru's new love, Sailor Moon...so that the friendship between Fiore and Mamoru be the only thing left. But when he tries to kill Sailor Moon, he accidentally stabs Mamoru instead. Heartbroken, he uses his own life essence to heal Mamoru...his life essence acting as the flower he wanted to give Mamoru...fulfilling their promise from when they were boys. Fiore's name in Italian means flower...so in the end he was the flower for Mamoru all along. Fiore sacrifices himself so that Mamoru may live, as a token of his eternal love.

So why do I relate to him? I feel a deep internal sadness when it comes to love and comradery...I feel it as a concept that transcends time and space. I long for eternal love beyond death, and the sacrifice demonstarted by Fiore for the love of Mamoru...really resonates within my soul. In this way I long to be like Fiore...and every day I feel more like him. Unrelatable to humanity as a race (Fiore is an alien), but so deeply connected by soul to the one is he has devoted his love to.
